Hi David, I’m looking for a quotation to install suitable ventilation for my gas fire. During a recent service visit by another engineer, the fire was disconnected because he couldn’t confirm adequate ventilation in the room. The previous owner advised that it had been considered compliant in the past and shared the details of the engineer who previously serviced it. She confirmed that, according to her records, ventilation was in place (likely through a vent in the window), but she is no longer working in Edinburgh and couldn’t assist further.
The gas fire model is Jetmaster MK6 2470/BL186. I’d now like to have the ventilation inspected and, if necessary, new ventilation installed so the fire can be reconnected safely.

Jane here (as in Jane and Graham, 2a Warrender Park Terrace). We have been having problems with our boiler (which I think you installed about 6 years ago?) The pressure has been dropping until it stops functioning and needs topping up. 24/7 did a 'Leak sealant' operation but to no avail, and more recently a 'Pressure test' with the heat exchanger. The pressure dropped considerably. So we may need a new heat exchanger. But it may be better to get a new boiler completely. Do you know if we have a 10-year warranty? With thanks
