i am in the process of purchasing a property your company conducted damp proofing on, 5 victoria terrace whitley bay. we have had a survey and areas of damp have been flagged on the lower floor. the surveyor recommended that the condition of the timber joists are checked. please can we discuss the process of damp coursing and whether the property would have had the timber inspected before treatment was installed?

Damp Reports
Damp Reports should cover the following:
•The report must be dated within the last 90 days
•The report must be obtained on the whole property unless stated by the surveyor
•All firms / trades persons must offer a minimum ten-year insurance backed warranty that is transferable to any new owners irrespective of if they’re a member of a recognized trade body or not.

Also would need the following- 


Timber Reports
This includes reports required for dry rot issues. Timber Report should cover the following:

We have rising damp in living room. I think a Damp proof course Is needed.

Old terrace house I’ve moved into. Needs a dpc or similar if possible. I’m not sure if it’s been done before as there wouldn’t be a traditional membrane due to the age
