We have a problem with damp which is around the chimney breast, in the sitting room and also in the same wall above this, in a room we use as an office. We have had the chimney sprayed (externally) but we are still having damp problems in these two rooms internally on the same (north-facing) wall.
I have put a dehumidifier in the sitting room and it fills up easily in only around 12 hours. We would like someone to explore a way to resolve this before winter please.
