Top corner of room is damp and mouldy. Wallpaper peeling all the way down the wall in the corner, and along the top of the wall about 1.5 meters across. Unsure where the source of the problem is.

We act on behalf of a client in relation to the purchase of the above-named property. Our client’s survey the following:

A high damp reading and sagging to the ceiling in the left-hand side elevation bedroom above the party wall was noted. This requires further investigation as it appears the neighbours roof abuts the property at this location and consequently there is likely to be a defect at this point.

Again, moisture readings were taken to a number of locations to the inside face of the external walls and low level to internal load bearing walls. There were high damp readings to the party wall in the left-hand side elevation bedroom and at low level at ground floor to the right of the front door and the left of the external door in the kitchen.
Would you be able to attend the said property and assess the work that needs to be carried out and provide an estimate.

Had a level 2 RICS survey completed on the house and they have stated that there is a hugh damp reading under kitchen and porch tiles and to have it investigated further

Tide mark has appeared on internal wall.

Back outhouse was converted and joined tot eh house - there seems to be dampness based on the smell which is quite bad in some of the lower kitchen units. It might need injecting with damp proofing in the wall and maybe the floor?
